Peavey’s Eric Lund announces retirement

WORLD: After 31 years working with Peavey, Eric Lund has announced that he will be retiring at the end of this month. According to the manufacturer he has been instrumental in the company’s growth since joining Peavey’s UK arm in the 1980s and more recently, distributing to the entire EMEA region.
‘Eric has become both a valued friend and extremely trusted colleague during the relatively short 11 years that I have had the honour to work with him at the company,’ commented Clive Roberts, MD of Peavey Europe and International. ‘I will never forget my very first experiences of seeing Eric presenting to a room full of our retailers. I remember watching the passion that he exhibited, seemingly symbiotically transferred to so many of the people in attendance. His inimitable earnest Yorkshire wit made him such an easy character for us all to relate to.’
Having started working for the company as the northern sales rep, Mr Lund quickly expanded his role helping the company focus on sound reinforcement and retail training. It was Lund’s passion for helping the retail sector grow that made him such a character in the industry and ensured his successful career progression. He will still remain a regular sight and friend at the company, continuing to consult in the areas of dealer and distributor training.
‘The past 31 years have provided me with a fantastic array of experiences and it has been an honour to work for a company that has passion and integrity at its heart,’ said My Lund. ‘I look forward to continuing my relationship with the company and its people but also look forward to enjoying some of the finer things retirement should have to offer.’
