Powersoft names Surgesound as service centre

SOUTH AFRICA: Powersoft has made Surgesound its new official service centre in South Africa. The announcement follows the company’s appointment as the manufacturer’s distributor.
‘The creation of a service centre in South Africa is important at both a geographical and strategic level. Having partnered with Surgesound for the distribution of Powersoft products, it was a natural extension to also create the service centre with them,’ explained Steve Smith, regional account manager EMEA at Powersoft. ‘Surgesound have always placed a lot of emphasis on providing a fast and efficient aftersales service. This allows them to not only supply high end solutions, but to create a level of confidence in their customer base. The philosophy at Powersoft is the same. Firstly, the products need to be reliable, but should things go wrong help and assistance must be available.’
The deal, as with the distribution agreement, will see Surgesound cover South Africa as well as surrounding countries. Powersoft’s customer care manager, Marco Mannucci, provided Surgesound with full service training on site in South Africa, which has equipped the company with the ability to provide complete servicing and repair of all Powersoft products, both in and out of warranty.
‘Having an official service centre based in South Africa will provide Powersoft users with the peace of mind that should they have issues with their amplifiers, help is not far away,’ concluded Mr Smith. ‘This will mean that amplifiers can be serviced, repaired and back on the road within a matter of days without filling out reams of paperwork or incurring expensive shipment costs.’
