SOUTH AFRICA: Situated in Modimolle Hills, Castle de Wildt is an auction house specialising in rare game bred at farms belonging to LBG Holdings. The climate-controlled 4,500 capacity building has recently been outfitted with a distributed A/V system. Designed by Prosound, the system was installed over eight days by its partner, Cool Music Productions.
More than 50 of Prosound’s own Maestro loudspeakers along with Electro-Voice amplifiers and a Rane Hal 1X digital processor with expansion card were positioned inside the auction house and outside terrace. In terms of visual equipment, a TV One six-input scaler/switcher was installed to cater for the selection of video sources and a combination of Key Digital and Cuanbo was deployed to take care of signal distribution.
With the venue filled to capacity for the 4th Prestige Game Auction, guests were reportedly impressed by the clarity of the new system. The building is planned to double in size over the next month, with 18 more Maestro passive loudspeakers joining the existing setup.
