Protec brings unique LED screen to Middle East

MIDDLE EAST: Dubai-based Production Technology (Protec) has designed a new LED screen with three different configurations that can work together seamlessly.
‘It’s the first time that you’ve had 12mm, 6mm, and 3mm where you can put a 6mm inside the 12mm and a 3mm inside the 12mm and run them concurrently,’ explained Protec’s Steve Lakin. ‘You can have one big picture or go to high resolution in one area.’
‘You have the different sizes ranging from the 12mm, which is the more outdoor screen – we’ve designed it so it’s a more blow through screen, weatherproofed and obviously the brightness is a lot more. Down from the 6mm which increases the resolution but is an indoor screen and then increased again for the 3mm, which can do a lot higher resolution,’ added Protec’s Adam Allison. ‘It is a versatile screen in the way you can have it for permanent install or the rental side, it’s robust, you can build it from scratch pretty quickly and it’s not too heavy. The applications you can use it for are plentiful.’
The new screen has been designed over the last six months with the Middle East market in mind. ‘It is designed to be able to withstand the conditions we get here, so it will pretty much work in most other areas,’ said Mr Allison.
Protec has added 380 sq-m of the LED screen panels to its inventory.
