Pulse ME equips VIP Room

UAE: Pulse Middle East has recently designed, installed and commissioned the audio, visual and lighting system at the VIP Room club in Dubai’s JW Marriott hotel. The installed system is based around speakers from Turbosound.
To cover the room, Pulse ME divided the club into four zones and used a total of 34 speakers and 15 subs. The first zone saw 16 NUQ-10 10-inch speakers and nine TCSB15B subs installed around the DJ booth and the central area of the club to create a full surround system.
The second zone covers the bar area and the entrance to the club. Here Pulse ME installed six NUQ-10s and four of the TCSB15B subs. The first floor lounge forms the third zone, and benefitted from four of the 10-inch speakers with a further two subs. Completing the project was an outdoor terrace where Pulse installed eight Turbosound Impact 55T weatherproof speakers.
‘The installation was critical we had a very low ceiling and the client was looking for small speakers that were also powerful to deliver the clubbing feeling,’ explained Pulse ME audio specialist and managing partner Joe Chidiac. ‘After our research we found o that the NUQ series has a very compact cabinet while the dB level is high compared to other brands.’
Mr Chidiac is also keen to point to the support offered by the manufacturer, citing the delivery time offered as particularly good. ‘Turbosound was the best combination in terms of quality, supply, size, support and price,’ he stated.
Away from the sound system, the company also installed LED screens from Vision, LEDs from Electron and an Arkaos media server. Pulse ME lighting designer and managing partner Rami Haber was responsible for the Robe lighting system.
Pulse ME spent three weeks on site to install and commission the solution having worked with interior designer Fadi Chams from Prospect Design prior to the installation. According to Mr Chidiac the main challenges included the tight timeframe, designing the audio system around a central crystal dome, and customising the curved LED screens.
Mr Chidiac declares himself extremely happy with the end result describing it as ‘better than expected’. He also reserves particular praise for his team which worked double shifts during the project.
