Radio Tunisienne upgrades with AEQ

TUNISIA: National broadcaster, Radio Tunisienne has upgraded its facilities by migrating to digital with the AEQ BC-2000 D central core router. The broadcaster has been a long-term user of AEQ equipment and once again turned to the Spanish manufacturer when it decided to move to digital.
The central audio core in the broadcaster’s headquarters manages the audio for four national channels. As such, AEQ paid particular attention to the reliability and redundancy of the installed system. Nine BC-2000 D units have been combined to form Radio Tunisienne’s router. These have been interconnected by redundant Madi fibre optic links, including at key system points up to 20 DSPs processing simultaneously. Completing the project is an AEQ Mar4Suite Pro automation, management and play-out system.
The project was managed by Radio Tunisienne’s technical director Rochdi Nouira in collaboration with members of the AEQ tech services team who moved to Tunis for the duration of the project.
