RedMark Studios opts for Sound Devices PIX

UAE: Sound Devices distributor Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises (NMK) has recently supplied the new PIX 240i to Dubai-based RedMark Studios.
The investment in the PIX240i has allowed the studio to directly record a video feed from its video cameras over HDMI or HD-SDI into either a CompactFlash card or a solid-state hard drive and be able to move the content to its post production suite. The PIX Series is part of Sound Devices’ new foray into HD video recording with both the PIX 220i and PIX 240i.
‘The latest firmware for the PIX Series accepts BNC inputs at 12-bit 4:4:4 3G-SDI and recording in ProRes 4444 format. Which is in demand by the industry today,’ commented Shajahan K K, Sound Devices product manager at NMK. ‘RedMark Studios are now more efficient in their workflows and have production quality on their projects after the purchase of the PIX240i.’
