Saltzbrenner Stagetec opens regional office

KUWAIT: Saltzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup has opened a Middle East regional office in Kuwait. The new office has been established to boost sales and offer support across the geography, and is described as ‘the last regional office we are opening’ by international sales manager Sam Depauw.
‘Basically the idea is to set up a regional office and that will help to increase sales and especially after-sales support,’ explained Mr Depauw. ‘Also support the projects that we have already done in the Middle East such as the Qatar Convention Centre which we have done through our Turkish distributor.’
The office has been opened as a joint venture with Romco Trading Co and will be headed up by managing director Ali Al-Roumi. The new location will see Stagetec look into its existing distribution structure and appoint a technical sales director who will be based in Kuwait but will travel to support the distributors locally.
Stagetec is also planning for the location to become a service centre and offer spare parts locally. ‘We are working on quite a few bigger projects, and we know some more massive projects are coming,’ noted Mr Depauw. ‘We want to make sure that we have local support organised.’
