Schedule confirmed for Dynamic Events

UAE: The conference schedule for Dynamic Events 2013 has been finalised with highlights including presentations on London 2012, technical panels on audio, video and lighting, and a keynote speech from David Atkins.

The London 2012 presentation will feature by Piers Shepperd, technical director for the London 2012 ceremonies, Mik Auckland, director of Red Thread Solutions and Hamish Hamilton, managing director of Done & Dusted. It will give attendees the opportunity to hear first-hand how to deal with the creative and technical challenges that come hand in hand with putting together the largest and most celebrated production in the world.

David Keynote Speech; David Atkins is Australia’s most awarded producer, choreographer and director. His keynote address will be about his career and experiences in the global events industry.

The technical panels and presentations will feature Roland Hemming, Scott Willsallen from Auditoria and Delta Sound’s Andy Jackson for the Sennheiser sponsored audio session. Dave Crump from Creative Technology, Peter Milne of The Electric Canvas, Moment Factory’s Sakchin Bessette and Tom van Hemelryk from PRG form the video panel. Riedel’s Marc Schneider will discuss communications, while Tom van Hemelryk from PRG, Tim Dunn from Gearhouse South Africa, and Nigel Holborough from MA Lighting form the lighting panel.

The final session of the conference is Questions for Organising Committees. Piers Shepperd, Mik Auckland and Jeremy Summers will discuss with Ian Spendlove the challenges faced with creating large scale events. From the appointment of local companies and suppliers to the compliance with organising committee requirements and policies. The panel will look at the risks, creative concepts and bringing in the right team to create a lasting legacy.

Dynamic Events takes place at Jumeirah Emirates Towers on March 10 – 11.
