Shure makes Middle East distribution changes

MIDDLE EAST: Shure MEA has made a pair of announcements that alter its distribution arrangements in the Middle East. The changes see dual distribution for Turkey and a new representative for Kuwait.
The dual distribution in Turkey is reportedly based on the expansion of the Shure/DIS product portfolio. Long-term partner Nefan Ticaret Ve Sanayi Ltd. Sti, based in Istanbul, will continue its role as a Shure distributor focusing on the retail and pro audio side of the business. Meanwhile, Atempo Proje Taahhut Ses ve Goruntu Sistemleri A.S., with headquarters in Ankara and two other offices in Istanbul and Antalya will become the local distributor for systems and conferencing solutions.
‘Nefan Ticaret and Atempo Proje are well-established and highly respected distributors in their markets, and their respective business strengths align well to our strategy in the country,’ said Freddy Sicko, Shure MEA’s general manager. ‘We look forward to fruitful partnerships and future growth.’
The second announcement is an extension of the agreement the manufacturer has with Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises (NMK). It has now become the exclusive Shure distributor for Kuwait. NMK has been an established Shure distributor for the past 24 years covering the UAE, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain. It will now be responsible for all Shure-related sales activities in Kuwait, covering all three segments of the manufacturer’s business: MI retail, pro audio and the installed market.
‘This is a logical extension of our existing relationship with NMK, who already handles a lot of Shure business across the Gulf region,’ said Mr Sicko. ‘It’s a pleasure to continue working with NMK and deepening our committment to them as a company.’
