SmarTech installs Televic at Sabic

SAUDI ARABIA: SmarTech AV Co has completed the audio-visual installation at the Sabic Academy at the petrochemical giant’s headquarters in Riyadh. Part of the project included a first Televic system for the company.
‘It’s a Confidea system based on the Confidea central unit,’ explained Herman Geerink, Televic’s channel sales manager EMEAA. ‘We installed 23 all-in-one panels that have been flush-mount integrated into the table.’
Alongside the 23 TCS2500 all-in-one panels, projection equipment and a Crestron control system complete SmarTech’s meeting room installation.
‘This is a small project but the important part is the reference,’ stated Mr Geerink. ‘Sabic is one of the biggest companies in the Middle East, and globally it is one of the largest petrochemical companies. For us it is the first time that we have a system there, and hopefully from this many bigger projects will come from Sabic.’
SmarTech is a relatively recent addition to Saudi Arabia’s systems integration community, having been formed as a local office for Jordan-based Girhoma. However, Mr Geerink is full of praise for the manufacturer’s partner and the work it has been doing in the Kingdom. ‘SmarTech is a good partner to have in Saudi Arabia. They have very good people with perfect skills.’
