Sonia Electronics goes digital with Avid

UAE: Dubai-based sound and light company Sonia Electronics has upgraded its system from analogue to digital. Taking advice from solutions provider MediaCast, the company purchased an Avid Venue SC48 ‘all-in-one’ console system.
Sonia Electronics described the fully integrated live sound system as affordable and portable, claiming to be impressed that it combines all I/O, digital signal processing and tactile control into a single console.
S Pereira, owner of Sonia Electronics said, ‘we are using the Avid Venue SC48 for all major shows, and we have also purchased the Avid Venue Profile lately. It’s a wonderful experience working with these digital mixers.’
The company have described how it will put to use the console’s integration into Pro Tools for recording, its ability to use studio plug-ins in a live environment, and its ‘straightforward’ signal routing.
Sudish Soman, Sonia Electronics’ sound engineer said, ‘I would highly recommend this console. It is the most user friendly mixer that I have ever used.’
