Sony Professional Solutions MEA awarded multi-million dollar deal

QATAR: Sony Professional Solutions MEA (PSMEA) has been awarded a deal worth approximately US$13m to supply and integrate Qatar TV with three full HD studios at its Qatar premises.
The studios will be designed ‘3G-ready’ due to the incorporation of Sony’s HDC-1500R fibre cameras, MVS-7000X switchers, and BVM-E series Oled reference monitors.
‘We selected Sony Professional based on its wide range of quality products, state of the art technology, as well as its expertise in integrating similar projects in the past,’ explained Samer Younes, consultant engineering, TV support and development committee.
‘We are delighted to be awarded this project,’ enthused Hideaki Nakamura, Sony PSMEA’s managing director. ‘I am confident that our expertise, technology and solutions offering will help Qatar TV achieve their objectives’.
The project is expected to be complete in November 2011.
