Spectrum covers Festival City shows

UAE: Spectrum Entertainment Services has successfully completed a three month long contract with the Dubai Festival City (DFC) which involved the start-to-finish production and execution of a number of shows at the DFC marina. Among the 20 live shows organised by Spectrum were the UAE National Day celebrations, the Christmas event and shows to mark both the opening and closing of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).
‘Dubai Festival City has a reputation of hosting elaborate and entertaining productions which regularly draw in large crowds. National Day and the Dubai Shopping Festival are among the biggest cultural celebrations in the country and we were determined to captivate audiences with spectacular shows,’ said Julien Beyrouthy, general manager at Spectrum Entertainment Services. ‘We were initially commissioned with the National Day show alone but thanks to the high calibre of our efforts, we were tasked with managing the events for an extended duration. As the sole agency that handled every aspect of the numerous shows, we are extremely happy with the success that we have had.’
Sound for the events was courtesy of a combination of Adamson and Electro-Voice cabinets. More than 100 cabinets were put to use to provide the soundtrack for the various events.
Spectrum managed the installation of the equipment required for all the shows in three weeks. This involved the setting up of lighting and audio systems, visual elements such as large-scale LED monitors and stages and trusses. This equipment was left on location through the entire duration of the contract.
