Stagecraft Events & Productions launches with Adamson

UAE: A new Dubai-based production company, Stagecraft Events & Productions, has begun operations in time for the new season. The new production house has become the first company in the region to invest in an Adamson Systems SpekTrix line array which will now lead its inventory.
Stagecraft Events & Productions is led by CEO and experienced sound engineer, Aveline Pinto. Following a thorough evaluation process, Mr Pinto decided to invest in the Adamson solution with a system comprising of 16 SpekTrix and eight SpekTrix Subs. The purchase was made through local Adamson distributor, Thomsun Trading.
‘SpekTrix is a true line source system and is considered one of the finest compact arrays on the market,’ said Mr Pinto. ‘I had heard and was always impressed by the clarity and tonality of the Y-Axis series’ Y10s and wanted something similar.’
In addition to the SpekTrix LR purchase, Stagecraft has also bought 12 stage monitors – a mix of Adamson M12 and M15 enclosures and 10 Lab.gruppen PLM10000Q amplifiers.
‘We needed a minimum of 12 discrete monitor mixes and although it would have been more economical to use amps such as the FP10000+ with a dedicated external DSP processor, we decided to use the PLM10000Q for all our monitors as well,’ explained Mr Pinto. ‘This not only allows us failsafe operation with quick preset recalls but also made our racks compact, flexible and interchangeable.’
‘Adamson is one of the world’s most admired and respected sound reinforcement system manufacturers and we are very proud to be able to offer these systems to our clients in the region,’ added Biju Thomas, general manager, Thomsun Trading. ‘Our goal is to be able to add value and provide superior solutions and services that help our clients succeed in their respective businesses.’
The system has already been put to use on a number of events, and is reportedly receiving positive reviews.
Joining the Adamson and Lab.gruppen gear in Stagecraft’s inventory is audio equipment from Yamaha, Shure, Sennheiser, Neutrik, Reference Laboratory and Pioneer. The lighting side includes equipment from Clay Paky, Avolites, Robe, Martin Professional, MA Lighting and Studio Due. Stagecraft has also invested in Sony, Dataton, Extron, Gefen and Christie equipment to cover video while EuroTruss, Litec and Nivo Flex form its trussing and staging options.
