Symetrix makes life easy for Tadco

SOUTH AFRICA: As the product of on on-going rejuvenation project, Tadco has recently installed a Symetrix processing solution into Johannesburg’s latest nightclub, Elevate. The venue required a processor able to deliver live DJ sets to five different zones, including an external terrace area, as well as accommodate background music for corporate events.
Situated on top of the city’s prestigious Reef Hotel, the club describes itself as a compact venue capable of hosting approximately 400 guests. The integrator was contracted to work on the project, choosing to install a Symetrix Jupiter DSP system supplied by local distributor iLED.
‘It’s reliable, easily deployable, and we’ve used it on so many projects lately,’ explained Perry Elias, technical manager for Tadco. ‘It’s a highly dependable tool in our armoury.’
‘Nothing on offer today comes close to the power of the Symetrix DSP block,’ insisted Josh Oates, marketing manager at Tadco. ‘It has world class reliability, a highly intuitive interface and broadcast quality pre-amps.’
With the processing system in place, the team could focus on its goal of ‘creating great sound within the venue’. This led to the installation of a 16 cabinet Nexo loudspeaker system comprising PS8 speakers and LS500 subwoofers on the dance floor, and Quest MS601 all-weather installation speakers elsewhere. Amplifications comes from Quest QA3004s.
‘The great thing about this system – and the Symetrix element in particular – is that it allows for future expansion as the needs of the venue change,’ concluded Mr Elias. ‘Processing doesn’t need to be rocket science, and Jupiter allows you to get great results straight out of the box.’
Since completing the project at Elevate, Tadco has returned to install two additional Quest QM450A full range loudspeakers.
