UAE: Tannoy Middle East used its Middle East Pro Audio Seminar at Dubai’s Ductac theatre to give a debut demonstration of its new VX Series and VXP Series products. The event was produced with support from Lab.gruppen, Lake and Biamp Systems and the event attracted more than 40 invited attendees.
In a notable coup for the region, delegates were treated to the very first public demonstration of Tannoy’s brand new VX Series and VXP Series, the latter featuring Lab.gruppen’s brand new IDEEA (Intelli-Drive Energy Efficient Amplifier) power module, ahead of the official debut demo at the InfoComm show in Orlando later this year.
‘We were delighted to be able to showcase some of the new VX and VXP product here in Dubai, especially with it being in advance of the scheduled first public demonstration at InfoComm in June,’ commented Mark Flanagan, communications manager for Tannoy, Lab.gruppen and Lake. ‘It added extra impact and gravitas to the seminar and really underlined the company’s commitment and high regard for the Middle East market.’
The event was aimed at audio professionals throughout the region with an active involvement in the installed sound market. It was designed to give participants an opportunity to hear the latest products from the TC Group’s pro-audio brands; namely Tannoy, Lab.gruppen and Lake, as well as some insight into the DSP install solutions from Biamp Systems.
Away from VX and VXP, the venue was used to demonstrate Tannoy’s VQ Series point-source PA system and the company’s QFlex digitally steerable column array. Attendees were able to listen to the products in an environment reflective of a typical working application as well as learn about the additional tools and enhancements to the systems that have been recently made available.
During the afternoon session, Lab.gruppen and Lake presented their amplification and powered loudspeaker management platforms, with emphasis on the install potential of each of the main product ranges including PLM Series, FP+ Series and the C Series of install-dedicated amplifiers. The Lake LM 26 standalone Digital Audio Loudspeaker Processor was also presented with some insights on its potential within large scale fixed installations as well as its tour sound capabilities.
Rounding off the day, Biamp Systems added to the scope of the event with a presentation of its ‘Agile Networking’ philosophy to networked digital audio systems with particular focus on the application of this with its Vocia range of products.
Plans are already underway to hold another seminar at the same venue next year, as well as similar events in major markets across the world.
