Techno Q installs Prysm at Qatar Uni

QATAR: A Prysm 4m by 2.25m laser phosphor display (LPD) video wall has been installed into Qatar University’s College of Business and Economics multi-purpose meeting hall. The installation was handled by Doha-based systems integrator Techno Q which has subsequently been awarded four additional sites where identical Prysm video walls will be installed during the first half of 2014.

LPD video walls will provide the College of Business and Economics with a digital canvas for lectures, meetings and corporate events. It will be used to display video and user-generated content, such as presentations, spreadsheets, design layouts and maps.

‘The revolutionary nature of Prysm's LPD video walls and their incredible eco credentials are what attracted us to this product. An LPD video wall uses 75 per cent less power than legacy projection solutions previously used in an installation of this kind,’ said Ibrahim Saad, head of sales at Techno Q. ‘With its unsurpassed energy efficiency, Prysm LPD technology lowers cost of ownership, helping to meet the sustainability goals of the university.’

'It's our first installation in Qatar, and also our first collaboration with Techno Q,’ added Tanvir Osama, Prysm’s VP of sales for the Middle East and India. ‘LPD technology is a great display solution for higher education. Its ultra-wide 178-degree viewing angles, along with having the smallest video wall seams in the industry, provide a platform that delivers an immersive and compelling presentation experience. Everyone gets a great view of the content no matter where they are in the conference hall or auditorium. We look forward to many future installations in partnership with Techno Q.’
