TechnoPro assists with Qatar National Day celebrations

QATAR:TechnoPro llc, a Dubai-based technical events production company recently supplied and operated over 446 Meyer Sound speakers for a military parade during the 2011 Qatar National Day celebrations. This was reportedly the largest amount of Meyer Sound cabinets ever utilised for a single event in the region.

The speakers were distributed over the 7km Doha Corniche for the occasion, which was presided over by His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Heir Apparent, as well as a host of dignitaries.

A total of 72 Milo high-power curvilinear arrays were utilised for the prestigious event, powered by 72 700 HP subwoofers. Meanwhile, 144 M'elodie high-power array loudspeakers were selected, along side 24 Mica line array cabinets, 60 UPJ-1P compact VariO speakers, and 40 UPM-1P compact wide coverage boxes. Further products from TechnoPro’s Meyer Sound inventory included 12 M1D curvilinear arrays with by six M1D subs, eight MSL-4 arrayable loudspeakers, 12 MSL4 horn-loaded long-throw units, and 12 UPQ-2P narrow coverage speakers.

For stage monitoring, 12 USM-100P extended range wide coverage units were selected, as well as four MJF-212A cabinets. Six Galileo 616 and six Galileo 408 loudspeaker management systems were used to process and align the systems throughout the multiple zones.

Another recent Meyer Sound venture for TechnoPro was supplying a system for the closing ceremony of the Qatar ExxonMobil open tennis tournament. Event company Auditoire designed the ceremony, which involved a mixture of music, tap dance, acrobatics and lighting.

A total of 42 M’elodie array loudspeakers were utilised for the ceremony, as well as 16 UPJ-1P compact VariO cabinets. Providing further coverage were eight Milo high-power curvilinear arrays accompanied by eight Mica line array cabinets, suplimented by eight 700 HP subwoofers. Galileo 616 and Galileo 408 loudspeaker management systems were used to process and align the sound system throughout the stadium’s multiple zones.
