TechnoPro uses Christie Roadsters for Qatar National Day

QATAR: Christie projectors have been in use for Qatar’s National Day celebrations. Event management company Auditoire was awarded the contract for the celebrations on Doha’s Corniche and engaged TechnoPro (Qatar) for the execution and supply of the technical production.
As a part of the festivities, a giant 36m x 25m projection on the Commercial Bank building presented images of Qatar’s past, alongside Qatari children’s artwork, over a three day period. TechnoPro selected four Christie Roadster S+20K SXGA+, 3-chip DLP projectors.
The building itself measured 86m high and TechnoPro used warping technology to feed the signal, blend the four sections of the image and correct the Keystone of the picture. The four Christie Roadster 20,000 ANSI lumens projectors, fitted with long throw zoom lenses, were installed at ground level, facing the building from a 130m distance.
‘This was one of the more interesting and outstanding features of the festivities,’ stated TechnoPro MD, Nabil Bourgeili. ‘Christie’s high-powered projectors proved their ability on a large scale.’
