Tehran Chamber of Commerce opts for DIS

IRAN: Following the success of its previous system installed six years ago, the Tehran Chamber of Commerce has again opted for a Danish Interpretation Systems (DIS) solution to cover the conferencing rooms in its new building.
The installation of the A/V systems into the main auditorium and main conference hall, which was handled by local DIS distributor Cimatech, was postponed by a year due to delays in decoration. However, this proved advantageous for the Chamber of Commerce as it gave it the opportunity to complete the construction work on the rest of the building and led to three more conference rooms being added.
In total 160 of DIS’ DC6990P touchscreen conference units were installed in the building. The majority of these (95 units) went into the main conference hall with the remainder spread over the main auditorium, which also has 50 DIS digital IR receivers, and the three further conference rooms. The system for the main conference hall was also equipped with a voting system and different modules of DIS SW6000 conference management software. All delegates have chip cards to login to the system.
The rooms have also been setup for video conferencing, in the main auditorium and main conference hall six Sony BRC300 cameras provide the video feed. However, in two of the other 19-seat conference rooms which were spec’d at a later date, Panasonic AW-HE50 HD cameras are the system of choice. Both models of cameras have capability to accept video tracking commands from the DIS digital conference systems through a camera interface which has been developed by Cimatech.
