Thomsun distributing MyMix

UAE: Thomsun Trading has taken on the distribution of the MyMix personal monitor mixer and multi-track recording system for the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. The distribution agreement was signed at the Palme show in April and the products are available now in the region.
The distributor has recently taking its first shipment of MyMix and is positive about the how the unit will be received. ‘We have had discussions with rental companies and selected musicians in the market and they all have had good things to say about it,’ said Biju Thomas, general manager for Thomsun. The company has also been introducing its new product to 1,500 music students at the two music schools run by Thomsun in Dubai. ‘We are marketing it from the student level to the professional level to reach out to the potential customer base.’
With the range of MI equipment Thomsun already stocks, it was an easy decision to start distributing MyMix. ‘It adds to the products that we already have, and we believe we can connect to our existing set of customers with this new product.’
One of the things that has particularly impressed Mr Thomas is the technology behind the system. ‘It’s a very handy product and it’s electronically very simple. The AVB networking protocol it uses is very up to date.’
