Thomsun opens Taiden training room

UAE: Thomsun Trading has opened a purpose built training facility for Taiden products at its Deira office location. The new space is intended to provide a comprehensive training and demonstration space for the full range of the manufacturer’s wired and wireless products.

‘We wanted to create a replica room to give people an idea of what their systems could look like,’ explained Thomsun’s PV Rao. ‘Prospective clients can come here and get a feel of what they are buying. People can actually see the products working.’

The meeting room style space highlights a variety of the manufacturer’s wired and wireless conferencing products, as well as its interpretation booths and camera system and will be upgraded over time to include the manufacturer’s latest product lines. The room will accommodate around 10 to 15 people and can be used for training or demonstration purposes.

‘We have almost all the product lines from Taiden and each of them can be demonstrated,’ added Thomsun’s Alok Ghurde. ‘Everything that is here comes from Taiden, so when a customer comes in they will understand the range of product lines and how the entire solution works for Taiden. We also have the software running here so we can demonstrate how the system can be set up and configured.’

While demonstrating the products to potential clients is an important aspect of the facility, training existing end users and systems integrators will also be possible. ‘End users can benefit from this and system integration companies can benefit from it,’ stated Mr Ghurde. ‘This also showcases our commitment to Taiden in terms of what we expect the business to be in this region. We want to be able to use it over the next couple of years to educate customers and end users about Taiden product lines.’

The distributor has had a lot of recent success with Taiden products around the GCC and sees the training room as a convenient space where local users can be trained. ‘For the regional companies this is a more comfortable environment,’ reasoned Mr Rao. ‘They may not feel comfortable sending people to China for training, but this is in Dubai.’

With the facility now open, Thomsun has scheduled a number of training sessions for the near future. ‘We have invited visitors from across the GCC for training sessions,’ concluded Mr Ghurde. ‘It’s how we want to be able to support our clients.’
