Thomsun to represent Ref Lab for MI

UAE: Dubai-based Thomsun Trading will now represent Reference Laboratories cables in the MI sector. The arrangement follows the two companies working together for the manufacturer’s cable education programme.
‘Thomsun is very pleased to start distribution of Reference Laboratory cables in UAE as the products are high quality cables giving customers a true experience of sound,’ said Thomsun GM Biju Thomas. ‘We aim to promote the products at our retail outlets and various music schools.’
‘Thomsun, through their pro audio manager Ashok Ross, and technical sound engineer Kartik V, were the first witnesses during the Palme show to the interest and activity around the Reference Live stage, conference room workshops and stand,’ added Reference Laboratory’s Angelo Tordini. ‘After Palme 2011, a relationship was established, with several meetings taking place between Reference Laboratory and Thomsun and six months of evaluation and training followed with Thomsun’s main marketing and sales departments.’
Following this process, Thomsun decided to invest in Reference Laboratory Cables, with the support of the manufacturer’s Educational Cable Program. Three Thomsun show rooms will now be installed with a Reference Cable Corner to initiate an educational programme for end users in a proper and dedicated space. These will be in the showrooms at Ibn Battuta Mall, Wafi and Deira.
‘The highlight in terms of presentation at our selected outlets would be a corner where music enthusiasts and customers can experience the sound performance of their music instruments with the help of these instrument cables,’ concludes Mr Thomas. ‘We also hope the unique educational approach of Reference Laboratory would be insightful and useful for customers.’
