Venue desk for Fête de la Musique

LEBANON: The annual Fête de la Musique music festival recently returned to Beirut for the 11th time with simultaneous performances from 60 acts at sites across the city. The heart of the system at one of these venues was an Avid Venue SC48.
The console was supplied by local rental company RF Sound for the performances in downtown Beirut’s Martyrs’ Square. Nine acts performed in the 8,000-capacity square throughout the evening and Jihad Samaha was the system engineer. Each of the acts had their own sound engineer mixing on the SC48 and for some this was their first experience of using the desk. For those new to the desk the experience was reportedly an enjoyable one.
Fête de la Musique is an international music festival which started in France but is now held in 37 countries on the same day. The Martyrs’ Square show saw performances from Gabriel Abdel Nour, Michelle & Noel Keserwany, Belime, Bruno Tabbal, Dana Dragomir, Anixa@Labex, Epic, Poly and Mancer Dust.
