Venuetech to distribute Avid Venue consoles in UAE and Oman

MIDDLE EAST: Avid has appointed Venuetech to distribute its Venue range of live sound consoles in the UAE and Oman, using the Infocomm MEA show in Dubai as a launch-pad for the new arrangement. Speaking at the show, Avid’s Veronika Lode, head of marketing for emerging markets, explained that the manufacturer is ‘hoping to build on our existing client base and I think that Venuetech is a perfect partner for that in the Middle East’.
The deal, which is effective immediately, sees the Avid range of consoles join a portfolio of high profile brands including Sennheiser, Electro-Voice, Martin Professional lighting and Televic. Discussions between the two companies reportedly began early in the summer.
‘Venuetech has a very enthusiastic and active team and they provide a very good service for the live sound market,’ continued Ms Lode. ‘We started talking at the beginning of the summer and now we are in the middle of October and we are already here together at Infocomm. I think it’s the perfect start for all of us.’
Elie Khairallah, Venuetech technical director, added: ‘We’ve been specifying Profile consoles for many projects in the region – we know the product and we think it’s marvellous. We also have good chemistry with Avid. We thought that Infocomm would be a good start for us. It’s an immediate arrangement with the support of all the team and we feel like we will have great support in the future as well.’
