Virtel becomes Newtec distribution partner

UAE: Virtel has been appointed as a distribution partner for satellite communications manufacturer Newtec. The Dubai-based distributor will supply the manufacturer’s VSAT and broadcast equipment products to internet service providers, satellite operators and system integrators throughout the region.
‘Extending our partnership with Virtel is a natural fit for us – this company is now a certified indirect channel partner of Newtec and has a proven track record in logistics,’ explained Didier Tymen, Newtec’s VP sales, EMEA. ‘By combining our equipment with Virtel’s expertise, particularly with VSAT equipment, we can better serve our customers.’
‘Being a certified Newtec business partner helps both companies achieve more by working closer together,’ added Virtel managing director, Omar Aloosi. ‘At Virtel, we pride ourselves on being a “one-stop shop” for satellite broadcast and VSAT equipment and becoming a distributor of Newtec is an important step for us.’
Since the deal was signed, Virtel has reportedly carried out its first large order of broadcast modulators and modems as well as VSAT equipment.
