VV amp Sons host MediaMatrix Nion product training

UAE: VV & Sons has recently hosted a two-day Media Matrix Nion product training session at the Towers Rotana Hotel in Dubai. The workshop was led by product specialist Stephan Joy, accompanied by Julian Young.

The training aimed to educate the attendees about the Nion product family hardware, designing in NWare, and working with DSP devices. Other topics included remote control kiosk management, audio networking with CobraNet and Dante, and external control topics including serial and GPIO. Additional topics discussed included python scripting and maintenance and troubleshooting.

The event was said to have had a ‘higher turnout than expected’, and was described as ‘a success by any means’.

‘We would like to express our appreciation and thanks to Stephen Joy, Julian Young, and the Media Matrix and VV & sons teams for the technical seminar and hospitality extended during the two days of training,’ said Troy Frankson, technical director at Omnix. ‘The training did give us a insight into the Nion and Cabs, and we are looking forward to working with the mentioned Media Matrix systems in the future.’

The training was so successful that the team announced it will return to the Middle East for further workshops later in 2011.
