VV & Sons sees RCF success

UAE: Dubai-based distributor VV & Sons has found notable success with Italian loudspeaker brand RCF. The company recently sold two similar line array solutions to a pair of rental companies. ‘There are two systems, one for Magic Fields and the other for Coral Sound,’ explained VV & Sons’ PV Davis. ‘Both are for the same line array system purchased in December.’
The solution that both rental houses opted for is the manufacturer’s HDL 20-A active two way line array module with SUB 8006-AS double 18-inch bass reflex active subwoofers. In the case of Oman’s Magic Fields the purchased solution included eight pieces of the HDL 20-A with two of the subs.
The rental house said it was drawn to the RCF solution by the response from the sub and believes there is a market in the country for the system stating that it is already lined up for a number of gigs.
Building on this success, the distributor is also planning to host an RCF workshop in 2013.
