Wild & Marr takes on Sonifex and RTW

SOUTH AFRICA: Wild & Marr has added to its roster of brands with two further players in the broadcast market. In addition to the Harman stable of brands, Tascam, DIS, Shure and Klotz amongst others, the distributor will now represent Sonifex and RTW.
The distributor covers the country from offices in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. It has interests in all sectors of the professional audio industry with live and installation being its main focus. However, Broadcast is also an important growth market and the new additions represent a positive move in this direction.
‘I’m wholly impressed with the enthusiasm from Wild & Marr,’ said Sonifex’s Eamonn Heffernan. ‘Broadcast is not their main focus, but they’re really keen. They have the Studer range of broadcast mixers and on the back of that they would like to use interfaces in many applications and we fit the bill. We are looking to do a lot of business down here, I’m very confident we have made a good move.’
‘Wild & Marr has positive energy, a large sales force and they have educated, skilled people,’ noted RTW international sales manager Arjen Hofland. ‘In the past we have struggled a little bit in South Africa so we started looking at sales networks and began with Wild & Marr. There has already been reasonable interest in our equipment, I have been impressed. I’m looking forward to a positive relationship.’
Wild & Marr used the recent Mediatech Africa show in Johannesburg to announce its new relationship with both manufacturers.
