Adamson celebrates 30th with three new products

This year marked the 30th anniversary for Adamson Systems Engineering, and helping the manufacturer celebrate was the recent launch of three new products. The company has made additions to the Energia Series with the e12 line source and the e218 Sub, and has also introduced the A218.

Admason’s e15 will now have a partner in the Energia line with the release of the e12, which has been designed to act as a standalone mid-size line array, but can also be used as a down-fill, or side-fill in a larger e15 arena system. Targeted towards large format touring companies and regional rental businesses, the lightweight e12 is particularly suited for venues with point load restrictions or smaller format applications.

Inside the box is Adamson’s new 12-inch Kevlar driver –  the ND12S. This offers advanced cooling and larger xmax, and by utilising the manufacturer’s cone architecture, the ND12S has reduced eddy currents and intermodulation distortion due to the use of shorting rings in the motor design.

The Energia e218, meanwhile, was designed as a companion sub for the Energia Series e15 and e12, and can be flown together with an e12 or a stand-alone array. The self-contained rigging allows for a curved or flat array when it’s flown, but will also travel three up on a cart. Within the cabinet are two of Adamson’s ND18S drivers employing a dual spider voice coil stabilising design.

Moving on to the A218, this is an all-purpose sub that is front loaded with two ND18S drivers, which are coated in Silicone for long-term suspension memory. The drivers are equipped with Kevlar cones with Adamson’s cone architecture.
