AES3 IO card

Digital fibre network pioneer Optocore has developed a new AES3 (AES/EBU) I/O card for its X6R 16-channel converters, providing 16 AES channels, with the ability to change the inputs or outputs in groups of eight.
The design is intended to complement the manufacturer’s existing mic/line conversion cards, whilst offering a number of new device options. The X6R-16AE is a single 16-channel AES3 I/O, with Euroblock connectors, providing sample rates of up to 192kHz, while the X6R-8AE/8MI is a single eight-channel AES3 I/O or 1x8-channel mic input. The X6R-8AE/8LI, on the other hand, is a single eight-channel AES3 I/O card with single eight-channel line inputs. The X6R-8AE/8LO offers single eight-channel AES3 I/O or single eight channel line outputs.
The Munich-based manufacturer has also produced AES cards for the new X6R-TP16-channel converter with 24ID SANE network. These include the X6R-TP-16AE, which is a single 16 channel AES3 I/O with RJ-45 ports, for which 16 channels are available on the card, together with 32 AES, and 64 over the SANE port providing a total of 112 channels. The X6R-TP-8AE/8MI is a single eight-channel AES3 I/O, with eight channel mic inputs and RJ-45 ports. Once again, 16 channels are available on the card, plus 32 AES, plus 64 over the SANE port, providing a total of 112 channels. The X6RF-TP-8AE/8LI and X6R-TP-8AE/8LO are also available.
Finally, AES3 cards are now available for the 16-channel X6R-FX converter with 24ID SANE network capabilities. The X6R-FX-16AE is a single 16-channel AES3 I/O with RJ-45 and Fibre ports, for which 16 channels are available on the card, plus 32 AES, another 64 over the SANE port and 512 over the Optocore ports, providing a total of 592 channels. The X6R-FX-8AE/8MI, X6R-FX-8AE/8LI and X6R-FX-8AE/8LO are all 8-channel cards.
