Vue Audiotechnik’s al-12 line array system is a high-output system for large-scale applications that reportedly maintains the fidelity standards of the pre-existing al-4 and al-8 systems. The development of a new set of transducers as well as new rigging and system packaging designs were reportedly required to preserve the definition and linearity of the smaller members of the al-Class family while facilitating the output needed to fill large stadia.
The al-12 also incorporates Vue’s CST technology and is designed to integrate with the rest of the al-Class family, forming hybrid arrays. Achieving an increase in maximum output in excess of 10dB in comparison to the al-8, the al-12 only increases by 50 per cent in nominal size.
