API announces new lunchbox frame
Published: PRODUCTS
API has unveiled a new lunchbox frame for its 500-Series modules.
The re-engineered lunchbox reportedly boasts a range of improvements including an increased power supply current of 215mA per slot, the addition of DB-25 connectors for easy input and output connection, and XLR access to channels 7 and 8 of the multi-pins.
The new lunchbox also provides individual power-rail LED indication and re-settable fuses on the power rail of each slot, so that one faulty module will not affect the others. The addition of a 100 VAC input voltage tap allows for wider international versatility.
Despite the changes, the lunchbox frame retains its original six slots for standard API 500-Series modules and an internal phantom power supply.
