Behringer monitors target ‘real-world’ environments

Available in two distinctive styles, Behringer’s ‘Behritone’ C50A and C5A 30W active reference monitors have been designed to provide an accurate reference for testing a mix as it will be heard in ‘real-world’ environments, such as car stereos, iPod stations, televisions and other ‘bass-challenged’ applications.
The C50A sports a high-gloss black finish, while the C5A has been designed with a ‘vintage’ 70s-style wood-grain look. Each 6.5-inch monitor contains its own dedicated 30W Class-D power amplifier and a specially designed full-range speaker.
Both models accept balanced XLR and ¼ -inch TRS, as well as unbalanced RCA connections, and are magnetically shielded so as not to disrupt a computer video monitor. A neoprene pad is included to provide acoustic isolation when the speakers are placed on a desktop, or alternatively, the enclosures can be mounted on mic stands via built-in adapters.
The C50A reference monitor boasts a frequency response from 90Hz to 17kHz with zero crossover phase distortion, and both monitors allow for a homogeneous dispersion pattern due to their singular small-diaphragm full-range driver configurations.
Both include a 5/8-inch microphone stand, and include professional balanced XLR, 1/4-inch TRS and RCA input connectors and gain control to ensure precise calibration in stereo setup situations.
