Beyma integrates Maltcross cooling system into woofer
Published: PRODUCTS

Beyma has extended its portfolio with a range of new ceramic magnet designs in its family of coaxial transducers, in addition to launching a unique 12-inch woofer with the exclusive Maltcross cooling system.
Weighing 5.8 kg, the new 12MC500 is a unique woofer with a 2.5-inch voice coil ceramic ferrite magnet design and waterproof cone. Integrating Maltcross technology – Beyma’s patent pending advanced cooling system – the speaker handles up to 1,000W program power, whilst greatly reducing the losses associated with power compression. Designed for low and mid/low frequency programs, the 500W rated woofer is ideal for line arrays systems operating in a 50 to 5,500 Hz frequency range. With a sensitivity rating of 97.8 dB, the 12MC500 includes MMSS technology providing high control, linearity and low harmonic distortion.
Extending the coaxial family, the Spanish manufacturer has also launched four new ceramic magnet speakers. Designed primarily for compact bass reflex cabinets, the 150W rated 5CX200Fe and 200W rated 6CX200Fe woofers are designed for full range applications. Both models offer extended low frequency responses down to 69Hz and 60Hz respectively plus accurate high frequencies by incorporating the new PM4 annular diaphragm. The 12CXA400Fe and 15CXA400Fe woofers comprise common ferrite magnet designs and have been developed for integration into stage monitors, owing to their wide frequency response.
Finally, Beyma’s TPL-150S and TPL150B pleated diaphragm tweeters are both now available in either black or metal anodized aluminium finishes.
