C-Mark grows digital mixer family with CDM24

A 24-channel digital mixer has joined the C-Mark catalogue, named the CDM24 and following on from the previously released CDM12. The new mixer is described by the manufacturer as ‘inheriting the smaller mixer’s user-friendly design and easy operation’ whilst adding greater functionality in terms of digital I/O, processing power, reliability and breadth of application. The console has been designed for users of varying technical proficiency.

Based on a fourth generation floating point Sharc processor, the 24-channel desk boasts an aluminium shell, dual power supplies, 100mm faders and a colour TFT screen for monitoring operation. I/O includes 16 mic/line inputs, 4 x 2 stereo analogue, two S/PDIF coaxial, two S/PDIF optical fibre, a single AES/EBU port and one on-board digital audio source.

Other features comprise a high-pass filter, three band PEQ, a noise gate, a compressor and enhancer, auto gain AVC and delay. Each mic input channel includes 48V phantom power and phase switch, while users can store up to 50 scenes or record to or playback from USB via the built-in port. Finally, the CDM24 can be operated over a LAN or Wi-Fi connection (including via iPad).
