C-Mark releases its first universal type digital mixer

C-Mark has announced the release of the CDM12, the first ‘universal type’ digital mixer to come from the manufacturer.
Described as an ‘affordable choice’, the CDM12 is referred to by C-Mark as a ‘universal type’ product as it is suited for various small and mid-sized applications.
Intended for use in conferences, schools, buildings and in studios, the mixer’s key features are its full digital processing engine, which incorporates a professional audio DSP processing core and algorithms, whilst a 24bit AD/DA is designed to ensure ‘high quality’ sound. The processing engine also includes a three-band parametric EQ and nine-band graphical EQ outputs, as well as eight mixing channels.
According to C-Mark, the new mixer facilitates ‘advanced human–machine interaction’ and is said to be easy to operate. This is due to its multi-language menu, its ‘user-friendly’ design of buttons and knobs, its virtual interface display and input level indicator. All of these factors reportedly make this mixer suited for amateurs as well as professionals.
The CDM12 also boasts 20 scene settings and tune out options, and contains an EQ and sound effects library. Completing the mixer’s list of features is a USB memory interface, supporting real-time recording to the disk, including linear and MP3 formats, as well as a built-in digital player.
