Carbon screened cables are instrumental

Tasker has produced a full range of carbon screened cables for use with musical instruments. Comprising five new cables, the range covers live event, studio recording and multi-effect processing applications.

The smallest cables in the new range are the C300 and C285, which are both 6mm in diameter with nominal sections of 0.2mm² (C300) and 0.5mm² (C285). Both feature carbon and spiral shielding and have been designed to offer flexibility that the manufacturer states makes them particularly suitable for live events.

Meanwhile, designed with large dielectrics and for very low attenuation losses, the TSK1031 and TSK1032 are described as being suited for use in studio recording. Both cables feature a 0.5mm² nominal section and 7.2mm diameter. The TSK1031 includes carbon and spiral shielding, while the TSK1032’s shielding is of the carbon and braid variety.

The final cable in the range is the TSK1030. With a diameter of 4.6mm, it includes triple shielding, a 0.2mm² nominal section and an outer soft touch textile braid. Tasker describes this cable as being ‘ideal for guitar multi-effects processors’.
