The NTR21-5010JD is the first 21-inch device to be included in Celestion’s range of neodymium magnet drivers. Offering 1.6kW power handling alongside 98dB sensitivity, the NTR21-5010JD features a 5-inch copper voice coil wet-wound inside/outside voice coil for heat management and a cast aluminium chassis design. Additionally, the woofer has been designed with a double suspension and a ‘multi-roll’ surround to provide exceptional linearity at extremes of excursion. With particular focus on linear excursion via optimised suspension geometry and magnet topology, the NTR drivers provide application-specific control, delivering more low frequency output, reduced distortion and increased longevity. In addition, heat management technologies applied by the manufacturer to minimise the impact of thermal compression, ensures a very low distortion performance.

The CDX14-2420 is the latest neodymium magnet, titanium dome compression driver to be developed by Celestion. The low profile 1.4-inch exit compression driver features a ‘next generation’ phase plug, using patented technology that results in a more accurate sonic performance, together with a 2.4-inch diameter voice coil, providing 70W power handling and capable of delivering 106.5dB sensitivity over a frequency range of 800Hz to 20kHz. The compression driver also features a deep-drawn titanium diaphragm, for increased stiffness, creating a higher threshold frequency, avoiding the dome break-up (distortion) within the critical mid-range listening band of 2kHz to 10kHz.
