Ciare dons its Full Metal Jacket

Ciare has developed a new compression driver named Full Metal Jacket (FMJ).

The FMJ-60 is entirely composed of metal and distinguished visibly by its red titanium dome diaphragm. The 160W (maximum) power rated compression driver features a 1.4-inch diameter throat, 2.4-inch voice coil and neodymium button magnet structure. Incorporating two M6 mounting holes, the copper short cap extends the frequency response from 1 to 40kHz. Measuring 65mm in depth and weighing 1.9kg, the FMJ-60 exerts a sensitivity rating of 11dB at 1w / 1m.

Meanwhile, with a throat diameter of 1.4-inches, the PR614 V-shaped horn has been specifically designed to be attached to the FMJ-60. Providing horizontal and vertical coverage angles of 60-degrees and 40-degrees respectively, the cast aluminium horn has a sandblasted black finish. Weighing 1.9kg the PR-614 horn measures 209mm in height x 330mm in width x 191mm in depth.
