Commercial Series

The Series’ triple-voltage transformers (100V, 70V and 25V) fit with any distributed speaker system while the drivers all feature 1-inch diameter voice coils with a Kapton coil-former and high-temperature wire for improved power dissipation. All the speakers come with zinc-plated, powder-coated steel installation accessories.

The CSS8004 is a 4-inch ceiling speaker with a sensitivity of 90dB, which includes a 5W, multi-tap transformer for 100V, 70V and 25V distributed lines and offers a wide coverage of 175°, while the CSS8008 is an 8-inch ceiling speaker with a sensitivity of 96dB offering 120° of conical coverage. The CSS8018 is another 8-inch ceiling speaker with a sensitivity of 97dB including a 10W, multi-tap transformer for 100V, 70V and 25V distributed lines.

Meanwhile, the Control Contractor series has been expanded with Control 60 Series pendant loudspeakers, which have been designed for rooms and venues with open architecture or high ceilings with difficult acoustics. Designed for a wide variety of applications and decors, the hanging hardware features redundant suspension cables and UL listed adjustable-height hangers. The four models include the Control 62P 2-inch ultra-compact, mid-high satellite pendant speaker; the Control 65P/T 5-inch compact, full-range pendant speaker; the Control 67P/T extended, full-range 8-inch pendant speaker; and the Control 67HC/T narrow, 75° coverage, 8-inch high-ceiling pendant speaker. All Control 60 Series models with the exception of the Control 62P incorporate JBL’s proprietary, conical RBI Radiation Boundary Integrator technology, adapted from the VerTec line array series, which is designed to provide even pattern control and coverage. All Control 60 Series loudspeakers are available in either black or white.

Finally, the new PRX600 Series comprises four full-range cabinets in the shape of the PRX612M, PRX615M, PRX625, PRX635, plus the PRX618S and PRX618S-XLF subwoofers. Incorporating JBL Differential Drive speaker technology, dbx Type IV limiting circuitry and Crown class-D amplification, the PRX speakers come with a fully integrated DSP input section providing mic/line level input, selectable system EQ and an A/D converter. M-10 suspension points are included, with the new models reportedly 15 per cent lighter and 20 per cent smaller than their predecessors. All PRX600 Series loudspeakers are housed in poplar/birch plywood cabinets that are finished in DuraFlex. Also included are neodymium woofers, powder-coated steel grilles, integrated handles, and single/dual 36mm pole sockets.
