Compatibility key for Nexo

Nexo has launched the LS18 bass cabinet, a product that is compatible with both the Geo S12 line array and PS Series cabinets.

This single 18-inch sub is compatible with all Geo S12 accessories, so it can fly with the S1230 and S1210 line array modules, or anchor a ground stack of S12 cabinets. With a steel stand fitting on top of the cabinet, the LS18 also allows for pole mounting of Geo S12 cabinets and also Nexo’s PS15 full-range speaker. LS18 can even be flown in tandem with PS15s.

The sub offers a frequency response of 30Hz-120Hz +/-3dB, 137-140dB peak and 8-ohms nominal impedance.

Also new from the manufacturer is the NeMo remote monitoring app. the app provides remote control over a network of NXAMP TDControllers, the proprietary amplification and management systems for all Nexo loudspeakers. Presently running exclusively on Apple touchscreen devices such as iPad and iPhone, NeMo provides control over Wi-Fi, giving the user the ability to visualise the network on a 2D map and organise it as preferred.

NeMo can monitor and control the parameters of one or many NXAMP devices, including input and output levels; patching between outs and inputs; output parameters such as volume, gain, delay, array EQ and headroom; device and channel mute and solo; setups and scenes.

In the network view, the user can see the status of the four channels on each NXAMP. Channels can be muted single or severally with a tap, groups and subgroups are formed by tap-and-drag. In the settings view, VU-meters indicate the channel levels of selected devices. Sliders, text fields and buttons allow the user to set channel parameters. Patching is by tapping and dragging from a plug to a channel. NeMo can be aesthetically customised for its user, the tour or a venue, by the addition of images from the user’s library.
