Countryman’s A3 Series takes to the podium

The A3 series of podium microphones has been designed by Countryman Associates to further reduce unwanted sound. This is reportedly achieved via the manufacturer’s Active Plus Vibration Cancellation technology with a dual cartridge and integrated damping functionality.
The series comprises the A3H hypercardioid, A3C cardioid and A3O omnidirectional fixed pattern mics, as well as the A3S selectable pattern microphone that can take the place of the other three.
Countryman states that polar patterns are precision-tuned individually for deep nulls that reject unwanted sources. All models also feature a propriety circuit design and shielding to protect against radio interference, and RF and breath noise suppression.
