CrossField Array-2 debuts from One Systems

Described as delivering ‘a unique combination of very high acoustic output and pristine sound quality’, the CrossField Array-2 (CFA-2) has been introduced by One Systems.

The CFA-2 is a 55-degree x 30-degree vertical array that features a rotatable high-frequency waveguide. Its transducer compliment consists of two large-format compression drivers coupled to a single horn and four bandwidth-optimised 10-inch woofers arranged in a 2x2 configuration.

The system is reportedly capable of nearly 135dB continuous output at 1m with 1,200W continuous and 4,800W peak power handling plus 104dB (1W at 1m) sensitivity. The system’s enclosure is constructed out of laminated fibreglass while nine M10 inserts are included for rigging. A variety of optional suspension accessories are also available while its weather rating is IP 56. The design also boasts an internal 600W autoformer that enables the CFA-2 to be powered either as a low or high impendence system.

Typical applications for the system include sports installations, theme parks, arenas, convention centres and other large spaces with high ambient noise.

The manufacturer has also updated its marine-grade speakers. Among the models included are 108IM-W/Marine 8-inch two-way system; the 112IM-W/Marine 12-inch two-way system; the 208CIM-W/Marine dual 8-inch two-way system and the 212CIM-W/Marine, dual 12-inch two-way system. All of the marine-grade models boast 316-grade marine stainless steel.
