Danley introduces SBH-10 Skinny Big Horn
Published: PRODUCTS

Danley Sound Labs has entered the column speaker market with the introduction of the SBH-10 Skinny Big Horn, a low profile column speaker combined with a high-directivity horn. The Skinny Big Horn uses Danley’s patented Paraline technologies, which the company states ‘delivers the aesthetic benefits of a column speaker but with much greater fidelity, superior pattern control and no spurious lobes.’
Weighing approximately 45Kg and with dimensions of 60- x 9- x 9-inches, the SBH-10 is composed of eight 5-inch coaxial drivers, designed to act as a single large synergy horn with a directivity of over 7.5m. It has a coverage pattern measuring 140- x 10-degrees, with a frequency response extending from 77Hz to 15kHz, +/-3dB.
The SBH-10 has a sensitivity of 99dB, which the company claims is 10dB greater than similar sized cone-loaded products, and because it has such a high power handling rating, the company says it’s capable of close to 20dB greater output when compared to similar sized, front-loaded designs. Additionally, the SBH-10 requires only one amplifier channel and no special signal processing.
