dB Technologies adds to the low end

Driven by digipro G2 class-D digital power amplifiers, dB Technologies has extended its range of subwoofers with three new models, which are compatible with DVA T12 and DVA T4 systems.

Housed in a bass reflex enclosure, the DVA S1521N is a 1500W self-powered subwoofer, which incorporates a 21-inch woofer with a neodymium magnet and 4.5-inch voice coil. The DVA S1518N is a bandpass subwoofer based on the DVA S10, but offering 50 per cent higher power amplifier output, an integrated DSP and an RDnet link. Equipped with an 18-inch RCF woofer driven by a built-in 1500W RMS digipro G2 digital power amp, the DVA S1518N modules can be stacked or flown. The compact 2500W rated DVA S2585N subwoofer features a cardioid layout with enhanced low-frequency directivity, which decreases the threat of interference. The system consists of two separate chambers, one of which is loaded with a forward facing 18-inch woofer and the other with a reverse facing 15-inch woofer.

Housed in birch multiplex cabinets, the DVX HP series consists of four multi-functional two way systems, which are equipped with rigging points and rails. Ranging from the 8-inch DVX D8 HP model to the 15-inch DVX D15 HP version, all four multi-functional speakers are configurable as full range systems, which can be additionally used as monitors, side-fills or delay lines. Each model incorporates convection cooled digipro G2 power amplifier modules delivering up to 1400W RMS power together with DSP serving as an active equaliser, crossover and high-pass filter.
