Fane SVA series begins shipping

The SVA series has been developed by Fane Systems to complement the existing SV passive series in addition to upcoming touring systems. It has reportedly been designed for flexibility and versatility.

The four top cabinets and four subwoofer models in the range are loaded with customised Fane drive units powered by Powersoft amplifier modules with integrated digital signal processing. The SVA-8, SVA-10, SVA-12 and SVA-15 loudspeakers have been designed as multi-purpose cabinets for FOH or monitor use in addition to near-field main PA reinforcement with subwoofers, portable systems or permanent installations with wall, stand or ceiling mounts.

Varying in power from 250W to 600W power handling, the high frequency drivers of the 8-, 10-, 12- and 15-inch models are married to 80-degree x 60-degree constant directivity low resonance glass fibre horns. The SVA-15 operates within a frequency range of 48 to 19,000Hz and is capable of producing a maximum SPL of 126dB (continuous) or 132dB (peak). The cabinets are produced from void-free birch plywood and are coated with a touring grade HardTex finish.

The four omni-directional subwoofers to accompany the four two-way system cabinets are single 15- and 18-inch together with double 15- and 18-inch models. Housed in the same cabinet construction, the SVA-115S is a 700W-rated active subwoofer system, which can extend low frequencies down to 39Hz. The 15-inch transducer comes with a 4-inch high temperature voice coil on a glass fibre former. The 18-inch SVA-118S model can further extend the low frequencies down to 30Hz, whilst producing an average sensitivity of 99dB. The SVA-215S and SVA-218S subwoofers are 1400W and 1600W rated systems equipped with dual 15- and 18-inch long excursion drivers.
