Italian loudspeaker specialist FBT has expanded its Mitus range with the two-way active Mitus 114A and passive Mitus 114. In addition, the manufacturer has introduced the Evo2MaxX range, the successor to its popular EvoMaxX series of enclosures.
The Mitus 114A and 114 both include 14-inch B&C neodymium LF drivers with 3-inch voice coils and 1.4-inch exit B&C neodymium HF sections with 2.5-inch voice coils. The birch plywood enclosures are designed to be lightweight at 24.9kg, and both enclosures offer a 70-degree x 50-degree rotatable HF horn.
The 114A also boasts a bi-amplified, switch-mode power supply alongside its Class-D 12,00W RMS amplifier module, and onboard DSP with eight EQ presets. Other features include a scratch resistant black paint finish, XLR input and link, a volume control, ground-lift, multiple M10 fly points and two FBT-designed aluminium handles. Other accessories are available.
Meanwhile, the Evo2MaxX range encompasses active and passive speakers plus a subwoofer, building on the original EvoMaxX series with all-new DSP including four factory presets. Improved SPL is also promised thanks to new bi-amped, high-efficiency drivers and Class-D amplifiers.
Housed in polypropylene cabinets, the range features three active two-way models (delivering 400W plus 100W) in the shape of the 15-inch Evo2MaxX 6a, 12-inch Evo2MaxX 4a and 10-inch Evo2MaxX 2a. They are accompanied by three passive two-way models comprising the 15-inch Evo2MaxX 6, 12-inch Evo2MaxX 4 and the 10-inch Evo2MaxX 2. A 600W, 15-inch subwoofer named the Evo2MaxX 9Sa completes the range.
Other features includes carrying handles, M10 fly points, a top-hat socket and a stage monitor taper.
