Fohhn beam steering focuses on new markets

The Focus series of steerable line array systems from German manufacturer Fohhn has moved into new territories following the arrival of Focus Venue, which is specifically aimed at larger installations and the live touring market. The range is intended to compliment the manufacturer’s existing Linea Focus and Focus Modular series.

Billed as offering ‘a robust but elegant set of high, low-mid and low frequency active loudspeakers’, models from the range can be combined to achieve greater coverage when used in acoustically challenging venues and locales. They also include Fohhn’s real-time remote control and monitoring via Fohhn Audio Soft software.

Also new from the company is the Airea-Series, described as compact, digital, and networkable and intended for a broad range of applications including the A/V integration sector, broadcast, theatres, bars and restaurants, conference rooms, and retail environments.

The system comprises loudspeakers with integrated digital amplifiers and DSP, plus a master module with digital I/O. Components are linked via a single conventional network cable delivering power, audio, network connectivity and remote control information from the master module to each individual loudspeaker. Distances of up to 100m can be covered without any loss in quality.
